Surprisingly the mud flats at low tide are extremely empty. Th= ere are sometimes small isolated flocks of one or two dozen but no signific= ant numbers. Semipalmated Sandpipers, Semipalmated Plovers=C2=A0,=C2=A0Dowi= tchers with the odd willet and spotted sandpiper would cover the shorebirds= I have seen there.=C2=A0 The shoreline closer to Noel is usually more productive (still no huge volu= mes) as it is grassier and has a couple river/streams entering the bay.
