Index of Subjects Can't help with the barred Owl, but it reminds me - I saw a Bald Eagle take out a crow in mid-air, that had been harassing it. Drove it straight down onto a sandbar in the Ingonish River and then ate it. Nature very red in beak and claw. Went over, and was expecting to see a Barred Owl half asleep, but some raptor took off from the ground and was gone in a flash. There was a mostly eaten crow on the ground, so I am guessing Goshawk, or maybe Great Horned Owl. Have seen Gos' in the area the odd time, but never a GHO. Does anyone know of a Barred Owl killing, and eating a crow? cheers, Gary Murray Tucker Lake Beaverbank NS
