On Sunday I saw a dead bird on the side of the road at Western Shore.

I stopped to see it and it was a young pigeon with a band.
</div>

The band traced back to a pigeon fancier about 45 miles outside of Boston.
</div>

He told me that it was this year hatch and had been let out the loft
</div>

for the first time to get to know the area. I don't know how far a direct
</div>
<div>
line to Boston is but its a long first flight for any bird.
</div>
<div>
Amazing things birds.
</div>
