How dare some tycoon foist his ideas on the rest of in the form = of this monstrosity of a statue, in a beautiful unspoiled part of our = country, and especially in a national park. Surely we can remember our = war dead in our hearts, or if there has to be some kind of actual = structure, it should be something restrained and tasteful. If someone = feels they need to build a 3 storey high concrete statute with = outstretched arms, perhaps they should build it in their own back yard = instead of a beautiful, ecologically sensitive and wild area of our = province. =20 =20 Richard Stern sternrichard@gmail.com Sent from my iPhone =20 ------=_NextPart_000_003C_01D09F79.792E48C0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <HTML xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40" xmlns:v =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" xmlns:m =3D=20 "http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml"><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Dutf-8" http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META name=3DGenerator content=3D"Microsoft Word 15 (filtered medium)"> <STYLE><!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:"Cambria Math"; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4;} @font-face {font-family:Calibri; panose-1:2 15 5 2 2 2 4 3 2 4;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {mso-style-priority:99; color:blue; text-decoration:underline;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {mso-style-priority:99; color:purple; text-decoration:underline;} span.EmailStyle17 {mso-style-type:personal-reply; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; color:#1F497D;} .MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; mso-fareast-language:EN-US;} @page WordSection1 {size:612.0pt 792.0pt; margin:72.0pt 72.0pt 72.0pt 72.0pt;} div.WordSection1 {page:WordSection1;} --></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY lang=3DEN-CA dir=3Dltr link=3Dblue vLink=3Dpurple> <DIV dir=3Dltr> <DIV style=3D"FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Calibri'; COLOR: #000000"> <DIV>This statue, if some people are determined to build it, should be = placed in=20 an urban setting=E2=80=94preferably right next to a =E2=80=9Cbrutalist = modern=E2=80=9D hi-rise, where it=20 may discourage a few birds from flying into windows.</DIV> <DIV>Jane</DIV> <DIV=20 style=3D'FONT-SIZE: small; TEXT-DECORATION: none; FONT-FAMILY: = "Calibri"; FONT-WEIGHT: normal; COLOR: #000000; FONT-STYLE: normal; = DISPLAY: inline'> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt tahoma"> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV style=3D"BACKGROUND: #f5f5f5"> <DIV style=3D"font-color: black"><B>From:</B> <A = title=3Dmythos25@live.com=20 href=3D"mailto:mythos25@live.com">Keith Lowe</A> </DIV> <DIV><B>Sent:</B> Thursday, June 04, 2015 7:47 PM</DIV> <DIV><B>To:</B> <A title=3Dnaturens@chebucto.ns.ca=20 href=3D"mailto:naturens@chebucto.ns.ca">naturens@chebucto.ns.ca</A> = </DIV> <DIV><B>Subject:</B> RE: [NatureNS] Never Forgotten monument proposal = for=20 CBHNP</DIV></DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV></DIV> <DIV=20 style=3D'FONT-SIZE: small; TEXT-DECORATION: none; FONT-FAMILY: = "Calibri"; FONT-WEIGHT: normal; COLOR: #000000; FONT-STYLE: normal; = DISPLAY: inline'> <DIV class=3DWordSection1> <P class=3DMsoNormal><SPAN=20 style=3D'FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Calibri",sans-serif; COLOR: = #1f497d; mso-fareast-language: en-us'>That=20 is well said Richard.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P> <P class=3DMsoNormal><SPAN=20 style=3D'FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Calibri",sans-serif; COLOR: = #1f497d; mso-fareast-language: en-us'><o:p></o:p></SPAN> </P> <P class=3DMsoNormal><B><SPAN lang=3DEN-US=20 style=3D'FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: = "Calibri",sans-serif'>From:</SPAN></B><SPAN=20 lang=3DEN-US style=3D'FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: = "Calibri",sans-serif'>=20 naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca] = <B>On=20 Behalf Of </B>Richard Stern<BR><B>Sent:</B> Thursday, June 04, 2015 7:36 = PM<BR><B>To:</B> pc.infocb.pc@pc.gc.ca<BR><B>Subject:</B> [NatureNS] = Never=20 Forgotten monument proposal for CBHNP<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P> <P class=3DMsoNormal><o:p></o:p> </P> <DIV> <P class=3DMsoNormal>Dear Sir/ Ms,<o:p></o:p></P></DIV> <DIV> <P class=3DMsoNormal><o:p></o:p> </P></DIV> <DIV> <P class=3DMsoNormal>In my opinion the war dead would turn in their = graves if they=20 knew about this travesty of Canadian values to be supposedly built in = their=20 memory.
