The only thing that was out of the ordinary was a male American redstart. I=
t's more of a walk to show people how to approach it. In fact, one of them =
said that he learned two things that were most helpful.

1) Stay in one place and let the birds come to you.
2) You need binoculars as well as a big DLSR!

Hello everyone:

As part of the New Birders' Walk in Windsor on Saturday we stopped by the s=
ewage lagoons. (Once the additional ones are built, I guess these will beco=
me the old Windsor sewage lagoons.)

There were great views of a Black X Mallard hybrid that was standing just o=
utside of the water. near the driveway. The green on the top and back of th=
e head was quite obvious.
