As a result, I didn't get a really great look at it. It also flew away about 10sec after I spotted it. However, the shape and size were distinctive, and my view of the shape and size was good. I saw the bill as dark, making it a black-billed cuckoo. However, I'm not 100% on this ID because the lighting wasn't ideal. Black-billed is more likely at this time of year in NS, correct? My ebird list from the visit (with some more details about the sighting): http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S23691755 -- Jeff MacLeod Halifax --047d7bfcf7a6adef7005173a021d Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr">I was in Shubie Park today and got a brief look at a Cucko= o.
