Today, as I was taking my Springer, 'JJJones' (now only have one, sadly, lost my beloved, elderly 'Dash', earlier this month) for a wonderful ramble around the boardwalk, I was hearing young crow/raven squacks & definite Raven calls from some large mature pine/coniferous trees, behind one of the apartment/condo complexes along the walking trail.. Upon closer observation (but still from quite a distance) I could see some activity within this one particular large pine. These corvids were way too big for crows. So pleased to see they had young and they are fledgling stage, as far as I can tell! I have always wondered where they took all the outdoor dog toy stuffing, this winter, when they visited my backyard dog enclosure, for a number of days! Cheers!
