This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_Psu5bD3/Nn+gFYuQQgBpAA) Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Hello, all. A few months ago, someone (I don't recall who) posted that Steve Burrows had written two birder murder mysteries: 1. /A Siege of Bitterns/: the Halifax Regional library system has 8 copies, and I'm most of the way through one copy of it -- paperback, 352 pages. 2. /Pitying of Doves:/ the Halifax Regional library system has 5 copies on order, expected this month. In /A Siege of Bitterns,/ the first murder victim is an environmental activist and birder, and the chief investigator is a birder as well. The back cover indicates that the author has pursued birdwatching on five continents. The progress of the murder investigation reveals details that would be understood best by birders. Although the book is written much like any of a host of mystery novels we might have read, this book could not have been written by a non-birder. The story takes place in England, but the author lives in Canada. cheers, Bob Lindsay Dartmouth --Boundary_(ID_Psu5bD3/Nn+gFYuQQgBpAA) Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-transfer-encoding: 8BIT

Hello, all.
A few months ago, someone (I don't recall who) posted that Steve Burrows had written two birder murder mysteries:

A Siege of Bitterns: the Halifax Regional library system has 8 copies, and I'm most of the way through one copy of it -- paperback, 352 pages.

Pitying of Doves: the Halifax Regional library system has 5 copies on order, expected this month.

In A Siege of Bitterns, the first murder victim is an environmental activist and birder, and the chief investigator is a birder as well.
