I think you may be correct: John understood the goldfish/amphibian issue but the method and the action seems to have come from another who I never met. Sorry to muddy the waters. The current fish deaths are a mystery to me as I had always thought goldfish=3Dcarp and that they are the next hardiest thing to African lungfi= sh in terms of oxygen availability.
