--047d7b33cdfc1543480514fa29ce Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 We are halfway through the Rusty Blackbird Spring Migration Blitz in Nova Scotia! Since mid-April, there have been 10 reports of 12 individuals reported to eBird. If anyone has seen a Rusty, but not reported, I encourage you to do so; either to eBird or to me and I can submit your sighting on your behalf. Here is a map of the sightings from April 2015 in NS: http://ebird.org/ebird/canada/map/rusbla?neg=true&env.minX=-66.45957301330566&env.minY=43.64461445634477&env.maxX=-59.42832301330566&env.maxY=45.96698991760238&zh=true&gp=true&ev=Z&mr=on&bmo=4&emo=5&yr=cur&byr=2015&eyr=2015 We are doing great so far, but I think we can increase our numbers! The NS Spring Migration Count (also International Migratory Bird Day) is coming up on Saturday, May 9th - so extra points for anyone who can spot a Rusty on that day! If you have any questions about the Blitz or Rusty Blackbirds, visit the Rusty Blackbird Spring Migration Blitz website: http://rustyblackbird.org/outreach/migration-blitz/ or the appropriate section of the NSBS website: http://nsbirdsociety.ca/index.php/volunteer/rusty-blackbird-spring-migration-blitz or send me an email on or off-list.
