The proximity lights came on to reveal a couple of adult deer reaching up the logs to eat the leaves of a climbing Euonymus and knocking the logs with their front legs. They stripped the lower branches. We have a herd of deer on the Hubbards peninsula, usually around 15 including a couple that are brown and white. They seem to thrive and are very tame.
