I was birding around Kings County today with Jake Walker. I obtained three photos that folks might find interesting. We re-found the Greater White-fronted Goose where the Habitant River crosses under Hwy 358 imm. S of Canning. We saw this bird fly in with Canada Geese at about 2:30 PM. The GWFG photo is my best yet. In the very same location there was a male Wigeon that we believe is a hybrid American / Eurasian. And on Fred Thomas Road in Upper Canard I obtained a photo showing three Lesser Black-backed Gulls. I suspect this would have been quite amazing not so many years ago, but not today. I know Richard Stern has a similar photo. We had 26 LBBG in the Fred Thomas Road area. I've posted one photo of each of the above, starting here: http://rickwhitman.smugmug.com/Nature/Birds-April-June-2015/i-htHLDBW/A Rick Whitman
