I have never noticed any birds feeding on them... * years ago (in Central NY) I was part of a party that put a winter fire in the stove of an otherwise unused cabin, and Cluster Flies boiled out of it in great numbers, to be eagerly eaten by Chickadees (and, I think, WB Nuthatches).
