Paolo and I went up to look for the Snow Geese (thanks again Jake) and we
birded The Guzzle afterwards. Luckily we didn't decide to drive Paolo's
4-wheel drive rental out on the muddy road though because the next vehicle
that tried to do that developed a mighty list and was waiting for a tow. But
the walk out to the end was worth it because we saw a Short-eared Owl in the
scrub at the end of the road. Unfortunately we didn't know it was there
until we flushed it and it flew over and landed in an open field towards
Horton Landing.
