This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_00CA_01D06BDF.9F9F7150 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit We've have a flock of ~ 50 redpolls who stayed all winter, and are still here today. (Spent a fortune on niger.) They are an impressive mass! And I have every color phase-was trying to pick out the hoarys all winter (there were at least three,... I think). I was marvelling at the diversity of colorations. That recent article brought to our attention by Nancy and posted on Cornell was much appreciated. I am happy with the 'lumping' approach, solidly backed by genetics! I wonder which day they will decide to abandon us...
