Hi All

Yesterday I shoveled a walk to the brook.

About 25 m across the lawn - I wanted a path for the

water to flow should we get a big thaw.

I had 2 susprises - the first was the ground on a lot

of the lawn wasn't frozen. The heat from the earth and

the big blanket of snow had thawed it out. With the

water table low it will allow the ground to soak up a lot

of water to feed into the brook latter in the spring.

The second susprise was how open the brook was.

Flowing quite nicely but very low. very little ice.

Enjoy the winter

Paul
