"Attractive to strangers and instructive to students." The Thomas =
McCulloch 19th century Bird Collection - Dr. Eric Mills

Join us for an extraordinary look at 19th century practices in =
collecting and preserving specimens of the natural world. Thomas =
McCulloch (1776-1843) was a Presbyterian minister and educator, founder =
of Pictou Academy, first President of Dalhousie College and established =
a museum in Pictou among other notable achievements. Dr. Mills has =
recently uncovered much of the history of the Thomas McCulloch bird =
collection currently housed at Dalhousie University which he will share =
with us tonight. Everyone is welcome.

Refreshments will be available after the talk.

Dave
