> FEB. 19, 2015 - While driving along Hwy. 1 in Greenwich, just south of =
Noggins Farm Market, a clearly saw a flying smallish falcon. It was =
flying unlike a merlin, much more like a small (male) peregrine falcon. =
I had no opportunity to stop or to see any colour =97 the bird was just =
a silhouette, but close to the road and to me. Thus I have to call this =
a peregrine falcon, but it has to remain as =93probable=94. I hope =
someone else sees and diagnoses this bird. Noggins Market farm attracts =
a lot of birds, esp. starlings and house sparrows, so it=92s quite =
likely to be revisited by this falcon. Our recent Eagles/Raptors Count =
had 2 merlins but no other falcons, although in recent years at least =
one peregrine has been detected several times on that count and/or on =
other winter days.
