Hartlen Point, Eastern Passage this afternoon.  I did not know until today 
that red foxes “call” while hunting – is this intended to make the prey move 
so it can be caught??
  There was also one very fortunate Vole who missed becoming lunch for one 
of the hawks when he was spooked by a car drove past as he was about to 
latch onto the vole!  Damn car....spoiled a really good photo op!  Pictures
