White Point, Queens, Birds

today so far we have had a number of Pine Siskins, a few Common =
Redpolls, Chickadees, Juncos, many Blue Jays, Mourning Doves, Starlings, =
a Hairy woodpecker, and a hunter of some sort. Now I think I know a =
Sharpie but this bird seemed smaller, chunkier, grayer (not that blue =
gray) with short tail with square end, two stripes across the flat =
tail (female or Juvenile possibly?) and what I found really interesting =
was its back had white splotches that formed a large face! I tried to =
get photos, though a screened window, and through steam and through a =
crack in the steam.....bad images all as they were pretty much all =
backlit. It wasn=E2=80=99t interested in chickadees, or the smaller =
birds but it sure ripped up off after Starlings and Blue Jays. I did not =
see it capture anything. I did manage photos. They are on the Facebook =
page.=20
Best regards, Marg Millard
