Yesterday I counted 7 Song Sparrows feeding in my backyard. I have
never seen so many together at one time. Perhaps it is because I am
putting mixed seed on the ground on a daily basis. Of course this
attracts pigeons and starlings here in Halifax, but it also brings in
the occasional White-throated Sparrow.

A small sunflower feeder that I got at Dollarama for $3 is being
frequented by American Goldfinches. Pigeons are flying up to my large
sunflower tube, and flapping their wings constantly to remain there
while they feed.
