My cousin forwarded me an email sent to him by a friend with a cabin in the woods near the Fundy shore of NB. This Spring a GB Heron seemed to be repeatedly coming to his roof despite his discouraging it. He was concerned it was being attracted to the solar panels mounted there and did not want the bird near them, messing things up. Would such large, shiny objects entice a heron? Do they perceive them as water? Or maybe the bird just thought the roof would make a good nesting site. Nancy
