The Brier Island CBC is scheduled For Tuesday, December 16, weather permitt=
ing.

This is one of the more challenging counts, both for distance from major ce=
nters and the potential for "interesting" weather. As a result, count numbe=
rs through four decades have fluctuated widely, from the 30s to the mid-60s=
. The highlight is usually activity on the sea (it was obscured by blowing =
snow and sea smoke last year), but almost anything can happen on land or se=
a, and this fall has been relatively mild.
