    DECEMBER 1, 2014 - MINER=92S MARSH, Kentville =97 On this glorious =
very warm and sunny day, I could not find Andy Dean=92s=20
2 Am. coots, and all I did see were 10+ mallards (most of them =
paired up with a few extra males).

In early afternoon I drove a bit east of Port Williams on Starr=92s =
Point Rd., quickly found a sod farm just east of the big transport =
company=92s building, and, just to the south but far from the road =
almost to the river, and backlit by the too-bright and low sun, about =
100 CANADA GEESE. But even with some trespassing into the field on a =
private agricultural road, I could not spot any very small geese among =
the large ones, which were partly feeding and partly napping. Thus if =
the CACKLING GOOSE is still there, I could not see it.=20

    Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
