Every ye= ar the numbers seem to drop off more. There was a time on the Lunenburg Ch= ristmas Bird Count when we would have 300-400. I don't remember the number= s from last year without checking=2C but it was in the single digits. A f= arm on Second Peninsula where the population has remained strong also has s= een a very heavy decrease over the past two years. Speaking to my friend = on the farm seems to indicate that there was the presence of conjunctivitus= or some other disease that has ravaged the flock there last year and the y= ear before. This does not seem to be a concern this year though. =20 James R.
