I am also being invaded by Blue Jays in record numbers but also doves. There are typically 20 doves in my yard at any time. I am expecting the neighbors to begin complaining!

It is raining Blue Jays here. First count was 18, voraciously hungry birds,
no scrapping, just going after food, and then they kept coming and coming.
Never have I seen anything like this!
This could do in our entire winter bird seed supply if it keeps up! Now
there are starlings in the mix......escapees from NB storm maybe?
