Index of Subjects And a great day it was Marg. The typical "Calm before the Storm" I would say. I sat out in the garden as the sun went down and for a spell afterwards. A lot of insects - crane flies, moth and who knows what else. They started to fly after dark so its hard to see them but they were visible against the western sky. A flock of ducks flew by 40 - 50 about - looked like mallards / Blacks except for a little group of 3 with 2 Green Winged Teal and an unknown medium sized duck. They looked good. A couple of minutes later an Eagle floated by - perhaps hoping for Duck for supper. Most things have gotten brown except for the rhodies. They seem best just now. Enjoy the fall Paul -----Original Message----- From: Marg Millard Sent: Tuesday, November 25, 2014 12:49 PM To: naturens Subject: [NatureNS] Butterflies in White Point Nov. 25, 2014 My goodness! I was just out planting my garlic and was visited by a Red Admiral Butterfly. It was sitting on my peat moss bag. Of course when I grabbed the camera, it flew away. I followed it for a bit but I needed to finish planting. As I was coming in, my neighbor called out and came over to see what I was doing. Just as she said I was crazy two smaller and very fast moving butterflies flitted about and as I raised the camera, one was too close. so then puff they were gone again. No photos.
