Yes beaver will go into salt and brackish water.

.................................
As a follow-up to my beaver sighting last night. Where I saw a beaver, =
late evening coming down a brook and into a culvert, which goes into the =
mouth of the LaHave River. My dad said he saw a beaver today in front =
of his house in East LaHave swimming. Does anyone know if beavers have =
been reported previously swimming in saltwater or if the young will =
enter saltwater to cover an expanse to explore for new territory. I've =
never heard of such before, but would be interested in thoughts or =
comments.=20
