------=_Part_819672_1205986195.1416168684057 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable All, While=C2=A0walking=C2=A0back home with my Springers,=C2=A0through the small= residential area next to Grahams Grove here in Dartmouth, I got a quick gl= impse of the back of a perched bird on a fence. It was a little bigger & mo= re robust=C2=A0than a song sparrow with a drab browny greyish back & grey w= hite belly. At first I thought, juvenile junco, maybe? Then it landed on a = lawn, and its movement there really got my attention. It didn't just hop ar= ound & scratch like a sparrow but it bounded across the yard in 3 great big= hops. Luckily I did have my binoculars and was able to see that it had a s= peckly chest going into a whitish abdomen. I checked my Sibley's and Crossl= ey's and though I really didn't look for the eye ring that it described, no= r did I see any creamy coloured area on the underside of its wing, I think = it=C2=A0mostly looked and behaved like a Swainson's Thrush. No tail twitchi= ng like a Hermit and just more robust looking than a Veery, but, I did not = notice an eye ring, but I really wasn't looking for that. So I guess, I'm j= ust not sure. Cheers!
