"No evidence" proves exactly nothing, and I wish more people would see that! (Hence the absence of proof of the existence of the Eastern Cougar in NS does not disprove their existence!) Ain't logic fun? From: naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca] On Behalf Of Paul Ruggles Sent: November-16-14 10:28 AM To: naturens@chebucto.ns.ca Subject: Re: [NatureNS] Purported SW NS Eastern Cougar Photo I know there is a lot of disbelief about cougars in NS, but My wife and I saw one while driving up to Cape Breton in the late 1960's. I was quite familiar with these critters from several sightings on Vancouver Island while conducting salmon research. Paul. Still messing with Google+ but this is is shared publicly so hopefully no acct/login necessary. Let me know how it works. If I can track down anything further I'll post. -- Jamie Simpson Hantsport, NS ------=_NextPart_000_000E_01D0018B.88262EB0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns:v=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" = xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" = xmlns:w=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" = xmlns:m=3D"http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" = xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">
<META = HTTP-EQUIV=3D"Content-Type" CONTENT=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"><meta name=3DGenerator content=3D"Microsoft Word 14 = (filtered medium)">
<body lang=3DEN-CA link=3Dblue = vlink=3Dpurple>

<span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>I have probably said this before, but w<span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>hen Donald Rumseld said “The absence of evidence is not = evidence of absence,” he as logically spot on. = “No evidence” proves exactly nothing, and I wish = more people would see that!
<p = class=3DMsoNormal><span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>(Hence the absence of proof of the existence of the Eastern Cougar in = NS does not disprove their existence!)
<p = class=3DMsoNormal><span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>

<span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>Ain’t logic fun?
<p = class=3DMsoNormal><span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497= D'>

<div = style=3D'border:none;border-top:solid #B5C4DF 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0cm = 0cm 0cm'>
<span lang=3DEN-US = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>From:= <span lang=3DEN-US = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'> = naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca] = On Behalf Of Paul Ruggles
Sent: November-16-14 10:28 = AM
To: naturens@chebucto.ns.ca
Subject: Re: = [NatureNS] Purported SW NS Eastern Cougar = Photo

<p = class=3DMsoNormal>

I know there = is a lot of disbelief about cougars in NS, but My wife and I saw one = while driving up to Cape Breton in the late 1960's.
