Subject: Orange-crowned Warbler and White-crowned Sparrow

I enjoyed my morning hike to Duncan Reef and then listened to the sound =
of the sea lapping against the shoreline with just the sun on my face. =
There was no human chattering, pishing, bird audio playbacks, mobbing =
playbacks or screech owl mimics; just me, my coffee and the sea.=20

On route an Orange-crowned Warbler showed itself above the gulley. On my =
return from the reef I meet up with Fulton Lavender and entourage. =
Fulton said he heard a Hooded Warbler and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher near the =
gulley and also reported the Clay-coloured Sparrow was still present at =
the hilltop of Sandy Cove Road. He also reported another Hooded Warbler =
alongside Bald Rock Road.

Last Saturday there were at least three Hooded Warblers present at =
Duncan's Cove. They may still be there because the high wind this =
morning tends to keep birds hunkered down.

Later when I was repairing the fascia on our house the White-crowned =
Sparrow came out for his pre nappy-time snack.
