Index of Subjects Hi John, Keith & All, Thanks for this. The consumer usually has no way to vote for what they want (such as watermelon with seeds and flavor as opposed to seedless-flavorless watermelon) but can readily vote for what they don't want by not buying it. I am inclined to give primary industry the benefit of doubt because wealth generated in this way pays all of our bills but the farmed salmon industry here seems, so far as I am aware, to have consistently failed on all counts.
