The closest breeding population to Nova Scotia is found on the Ontario= side of Lake St. Clair, just northeast of Windsor, Ontario. However, it is= a species which regularly appears all along the eastern seaboard of North = America during migration and, as the sightings that people have mentioned i= ndicate, which is regularly seen in Nova Scotia. I can't tell you if the bird mistook Windsor, Nova Scotia for Windsor, Onta= rio but I can say it is a great bird to host in one's yard.
