For the first time in 30 years of feeding, a pair of birds I have never
seen before arrived the first day I put up my winter feeders and have
been visiting frequently ever since. They look to be almost certainly
male house finches (I can send pictures if anyone wishes to confirm
this). Is this good or bad news for the other regular winter feeders?

An interestingstart to this new winter season !
