Index of Subjects Pleasant Hill Sunday Update, Sept 21, 2014 Hi All, With clear skies and the drop in wind last night, we experienced a change over in birds at the cemetery. Many of yesterday's birds were gone but we also had several new arrivals. The best bird was a Clay-colored Sparrow found at the Schultz Entrance by Paolo Matteucci, Tony & Annie Millard and myself. At the same location was a small flock of 3 Chipping Sparrows providing a nice comparison. The second best bird was a bright male Wilson's Warbler found by Fulton Lavender and Keith Lowe along the edge of the cemetery very close to the entrance to the Pig Run. Other migrants included Red-eyed & Blue-headed Vireo, Yellow Warbler, Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Parula, Blackpoll, American Redstart, Chestnut-sided, Nashville, Common Yellowthroat, Yellow-rumped, Magnolia, and Swainson's Thrush. Paolo and I checked Leaside Park where we encountered more cardinals, a catbird and added Hermit Thrush and a Belted Kingfisher to our list. Don & Lois Codling on Old Sackville Road had another Hermit Thrush and another Black-throated Blue at their place but their Baltimore Oriole of yesterday appears to be gone. - Cheers, Clarence
