Thanks for the reminder James.

Yesterday morning, a couple of us Tusket River Environmental Protection
Association folks put up some deterrent signs on our C.R.K. Allen Nature
Reserve, which shelters an assemblage of Atlantic Plains Coastal Flora
(including several species at risk) on the northernmost shores of Gilfillan
Lake, east of Quinan. A few ee-jits have taken to driving their toys on the
shores, DNR is onto it in a big way, and the signs will compound the
offences with which they can be charged.

Anyway, I heard a peep as I was exploring the shoreline and yup, a solitary
sandpiper did a number of up-and-down maneuvers over the time we were
there. Tail was diagnostic.

Dorothy Poole and I made a run out to Western Head, Eagle Head, Beach
Meadows, West and East Berlin and Port Medway today. We had three species
of warbler only, which included yellow-rumped, palm and common yellowthroat.
There was a solitary sandpiper in the pond by the Leaf and Garden dropoff
site at West Berlin. The best bird was an eastern wood pewee, which was
flycatching at the wigwam frame behind the corner store at Port Medway.
