Subject: Prairie Warblers(2), Pectoral Sandpiper, Solitary Sandpiper and =
Baltimore Oriole

There was good activity along the north side of Chebucto Head Road this =
morning, about 1/3 of the way from the Duncan's Cove turnoff towards =
Ketch Harbour Road. There was a Prairie Warbler here, with several other =
warbler species(11 species in total) including Northern Waterthrush, =
also Hermit Thrush, Boreal Chickadees, and Cedar Waxwings. There was =
another Prairie Warbler about 50 metres west of the turnoff to Chebucto =
Head Light(the gates).=20

At Sandy Cove Beach there was a Solitary Sandpiper, a Pectoral =
Sandpiper, several peeps and a Northern Harrier to stir things up. A =
flock of 25-30 Blackpoll Warblers, plus others were near the turnoff to =
the gravel pit on Sandy Cove Road and more active Boreal Chickadees.

Yesterday evening along Sandy Cove Road, Laura and I spotted a Spruce =
Grouse and earlier in the day a Red-breasted Nuthatch was calling.

There have been three Wood Ducks in Doyles Lake beside Old Sambro Road =
for several days although not seen yesterday or today. It's an easy =
place for ducks to hide.

This is a combined report of Fulton Lavender with group, Ray Staszko and =
Hans Toom
