Dear All, Sept 12, 2014 At about the time the subject of bird's nests came up on Naturens I cut a small Fir (15-20' tall but topped some years previously so with only a dense cluster of branches near the stub end) in North Alton on Sept 9 and noticed a bird's nest well hidden from above by the cluster of overlapping branches near the top. View of underside; white birch bark strips prominent-- https://www.flickr.com/photos/91817127@N08/15216111675/ View of upper side after bending Fir twigs out of the way; mostly grass or sedge culms https://www.flickr.com/photos/91817127@N08/15029524208/ Hawk's eye view of nest with Fir twigs back in place. https://www.flickr.com/photos/91817127@N08/15029425300/ Can anyone take a stab at ID ?
