--089e0115ef9ad82f610502968b55 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 hi folks, Please forgive the misspelling of Soren's last name - it should be Bondrup-Nielsen! cheers, ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: James Churchill <jameslchurchill@gmail.com> Date: Sun, Sep 7, 2014 at 9:45 PM Subject: Book Launch, Soren Bondrup-Nielson; Thursday 11 Sept, Wolfville To: naturens <naturens@chebucto.ns.ca> hi folks, I wanted to pass along to interested parties that the Gaspereau Press in partnership with Box of Delights (and with support from the Blomidon Naturalists Society) will be hosting a book launch for Soren Bondrup-Nielson's latest book (below). Hope to see you there! *Thursday, September 11*, *2014* - Book Launch: Soren Bondrup-Nielson. Join us in the K.C. Irving Auditorium at *7 pm* for the launch of Soren's new book, *Merging: Contemplations on Farming and Ecology from Horseback*. *Merging* is a book about relationships and the way our perspective shifts as we become attuned to the workings of the natural world, merging with our surroundings and the creatures we share them with. Working in the tradition of Henry David Thoreau and Aldo Leopold, Soren catalogues the rich biodiversity of his own backyard, exploring the fields, dyke roads and woodland trails that surround his home in the agricultural heartland of Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley. Framed as a single day's horseback ride which begins on a spring morning and ends in the dusk of autumn, the narrative engages subjects such as the relative merits of large-scale and small-scale farming and forestry practices, the challenge of fostering sustainable economies in rural communities and the impact our consumer choices have on the natural and economic health of the places we live. Soren is currently a professor of Biology at Acadia University where he teaches ecology and conservation biology. He is the author of two memoirs, *Winter On Diamond* and *A Sound Like Water Dripping: In Search of the Boreal Owl*. cheers, James. -- James Churchill Kentville, Nova Scotia jameslchurchill@gmail.com (902) 681-2374 --089e0115ef9ad82f610502968b55 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr">hi folks,
Please forgive the misspelling of Sore= n's last name - it should be Bondrup-Nielsen!

cheers,
<div= >

<div class=3D"gmail_quote">---------= - Forwarded message ----------
From: <b class=3D"gmail_sendername">James= Churchill <span dir=3D"ltr"><<a href=3D"mailto:jameslchurchill@gmai= l.com" target=3D"_blank">jameslchurchill@gmail.com>
Date: = Sun, Sep 7, 2014 at 9:45 PM
Subject: Book Launch, Soren Bondrup-Nielson;= Thursday 11 Sept, Wolfville
To: naturens <<a href=3D"mailto:naturens= @chebucto.ns.ca" target=3D"_blank">naturens@chebucto.ns.ca>

<= br><div dir=3D"ltr"><p class=3D"MsoNormal" style=3D"margin-bottom:0.0001pt;= background-image:initial;background-repeat:initial"><span lang=3D"EN-CA" st= yle=3D"font-size:12pt;font-family:'Times New Roman',serif">hi folks= ,
<p class=3D"MsoNormal" style=3D"margin-bottom:0.0001pt;ba= ckground-image:initial;background-repeat:initial"><span lang=3D"EN-CA" styl= e=3D"font-size:12pt;font-family:'Times New Roman',serif">I wanted t= o pass along to interested parties that the Gaspereau Press in partnership = with Box of Delights (and with support from the Blomidon Naturalists Societ= y) will be hosting a book launch for Soren Bondrup-Nielson's latest boo= k (below).
