I had a good day today for shorebirds at Conrad's Island in Lower Rose Bay =
with  13 species.=20
=20
The adult and juvenile American golden plover found by Kevin Lantz yesterda=
y were still present. I also had a close up look at a Baird's sandpiper. =
I had another sandpiper=2C which is worth trying to relocate. Whether it w=
ill be there tomorrow or not I do not know. I had it in my scope. A defin=
ite brown peep the size of a least sandpiper with a longer down-curved bill=
. I was studying it when I noticed the American golden plover. I took my =
eyes off of the bird in question long enough to look at the plover and when=
 I went back I could not relocate it. It was on the beach area after you w=
alk out to the beach and off to the left where it curves around into the in=
ner channel area. On the flats there at low tide. =20
=20
Shorebirds seen with positive ID=2C were greater yellowlegs=2C white-rumped=
 sandpiper=2C semi-palmated plover=2C semi-palmated sandpiper=2C pectoral s=
andpiper=2C Baird's sandpiper=2C least sandpiper=2C Black-bellied plover=2C=
 American golden plover=2C short-billed dowitcher=2C sanderling=2C whimbrel=
 and lesser yellowlegs. =20
