Right away I could see from = the stairs 200 peeps near the water line just to the west and another = 100 just to the east. My walk proceeded along the upper beach toward = the east, as usual. Also visible at the start were 500 more peeps = further east, plus 1000 more, some foraging but many still in roosting = mode (standing together in groups, often on one leg each).
