I visited Sand Hills in Shelburne County tonight (August 7=2C 2014). On the=
 way on Highway 103 near Barrington there were 2 Common Nighthawks flying a=
bove the road. I had seen them last year at about the same spot on August 2=
4=2C 2013.

My plan for the night was to get some photos of the shorebirds on the beach=
 so I wasn't using my binoculars. I got a few distant photos of a group of =
Short-billed Dowitchers near the northern part of the beach. I noticed a Re=
d Knot mostly in breeding plumage. I tried to sneak up on the group to get =
some better shots and the few Black-bellied Plovers among the group flew of=
f and also triggered the remaining birds to leave.

I though I saw a few Red Knots but I'm only certain of 1 individual. Next t=
ime I'm using the binoculars or the scope before trying to get a photo.
I also briefly saw a banded Roseate Tern fly by.
Below is the complete list of birds seen at Sand Hills tonight.
