--089e0158c07005ecbe05000c09ce Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Here's my eBird report from Hortonville this morning. Just submitting a list doesn't do the experience justice - I stood at Hortonville for nearly an hour at high tide, with massive flocks of Peeps swirling around , taking off and landing on the rocks looking to the east, Bald eagles soaring high in the air and heading down to the fields looking to the west, and a constant stream of Bank and Barn swallows flying all around me for the whole time. Just before leaving, a flock of beautiful Black-B.Plovers flew in and landed on the rocks. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: <ebird-checklist@cornell.edu> Date: Thu, Aug 7, 2014 at 12:44 PM Subject: eBird Report - Hortonville, Aug 7, 2014 To: sternrichard@gmail.com Hortonville, Kings, CA-NS Aug 7, 2014 9:35 AM - 10:50 AM Protocol: Traveling 10.0 kilometer(s) Comments: Most of the time was actually stationary at Hortonville Landing 8 species Bald Eagle 23 Black-bellied Plover 70 Mostly still in breeding plumage Semipalmated Plover X Some in with the massive flock of SESA Least Sandpiper X Just a few in with the SESAs Semipalmated Sandpiper 6000 Estimated number.
