Hi All=0ALast evening I was out on the river doing some fishing.=0AI was st=
anding beside a bed of Pickerel Weed ( Pontederia cordata ) which was in fu=
ll bloom. There was a bumble bee on every second stack. An impressive numbe=
r of bees. Most were=0ABombus impatiens but 10 - 15 % were tri colored bees=
along with an ocassional smaller bee.=0AThe bees were much smaller than th=
e spring individuals but the same color. Pickerel Weed does not seem to be =
listed as bees favored forage but these fellows didn't seem to mind.=0AFish=
ing was good - some nice White Perch who Mary asked about some time ago.=0A=
