We had a short walk on the gated Pockwock Rd. at the Mt. Uniacke entrance to Hwy. 101 this evening. There were 8 warbler species (Blackpoll, Black & White, Yellow-rumped, Palm, Black-thr. Green, Magnolia, Comm. Yellowthroat, Nashville), Hermit Thrushes, Blue-headed Vireos, Red-br. Nuthatches, N. Goshawk with prey, Belted Kingfisher, E. Wood Pewee, a possible Kestrel, and a Comm. Loon, as well as other more common species. We have seen so few warblers at home in L. Sackville for the past 2-3 yrs. that I was wondering what was happening, but they seem to be doing well in the Pockwock area. Lois Codling
