I found three interesting sources, = all suggest it is Xanthoria, likely X. parietina, but that there are a few other species in the genus in NS. =20 Frances Anderson, associate with the NS Museum, has looked at lichens in several locations in NS. Of interest here= is a manuscript: =91Lichens of West Ironbound Island, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia=92 from October 2009 = (http://kccns.org/include/docs/west_ironbound_lichens.pdf).
