Hi all:
=20
Kevin Lantz and I made a run to Digby=2C Yarmouth County and to Barrington =
Passage=2C Shelburne County today. Fifteen black skimmers were still at Ma=
vilette at around 11:30 this morning and until past noon when we left. The=
glossy ibis was still at Amirault's Hill as found by Alix D'Entremont toda=
y at 14:40. When we went to CSI=2C Cape Sable Island=2C at Daniel's Head=
=2C two great egrets were there as of 17:50. There was a lone tern on the =
Daniel's Head flats=2C but it was too far away for a positive id. Possibly=
a Forster's tern=2C but it could also have been a juvenile common tern. I=
t had the black mask behind the eye=2C but no black on the forehead. I'm g=
uessing a young common tern=2C due to the fact that all of the other Forste=
r's terns reported to my knowledge were adults in breeding plumage with the=
full black cap and not the plumage that we see later in the fall or winter=
when this species shows up here. =20
