Great Pictures Richard. I was out by Pearl yesterday in a 42 foot sailboat=
. It was a great day on the water as well. We had white-sided dolphins=2C =
harbour porpoise=2C one ocean sunfish=2C harbour seals and gray seals. We =
also had one whale=2C which from the description (I only got a fleeting gli=
mpse) was likely a pilot whale. =20
=20
Our outing by the island produced 45 double-crested cormorants=2C a common =
loon=2C 63 great black-backed gulls=2C 30 herring gulls=2C 61  black guille=
mots=2C 60 razorbills=2C 80 Atlantic puffins=2C nine arctic terns=2C 40 com=
mon eiders=2C one spotted sandpiper=2C 58 black-legged kittiwates=2C one gr=
eat cormorant juvenile=2C and one American crow. =20
=20
Of note after leaving Pearl we cruised over to Stonehurst and some puffins =
were seen that far in. At least five more common loons were way out there =
offshore=2C so likely none breeders or failed breeders. =20

The best keepers from a large number of shots. It was a perfect morning=2C =
with hot sun=2C great light and no wind. There were a number of heavy-duty =
cameras=2C lenses and their owners on board=2C so hopefully there will be p=
lenty more good pics. We also saw 4 or 5 Ocean Sunfish and a Humback whale.=
The Luna moth was on the wall of the Visitor centre at Peggy's Cove. The Ce=
cropia had gone by the time I got there.
