It never stopped moving, so there was no chance for a photo, b= ut it had a couple of closely spaced yellow bands across the tail, which we= re very obvious from a distance. The body was relatively dark, but not blac= k. H. diffinis is not listed on the Butterflies and Moths of NA site for No= va Scotia, but H. thysbe is. Judging from pictures on the web, the moth Iob= served was not the latter.=0A=0AAny ideas?=0A=0AWe do have one familiar mot= h lodging here on the N.
