Hi Jim

Do you think the "very loud spring peeper?? calling next to the trail (from a=
shrub?)" may have been a Yellow-Bellied Flycatcher?

I encountered one regularly last summer in thickets near a pond in North Riv=
er, Lun Co. I first noticed it b/c the lone Peeper sound drew my attention. T=
he Sibley's app (and other sources) dub this YBFL sound their "turree" call=
. It is penetrating and afterwards I would listen for it as I drove by.=20
